Lisa Overduin
Lisa Overduin has been an artist for as long as she can remember. She tried many different forms of media including oil and watercolor, pen & ink, charcoal, pastel and coloured pencils. Then a co-worker introduced her to cross-stitch! After finishing her first beginner stitching kit, Lisa immediately began designing her own patterns.
She had her own company (Lisa Overduin Designs), and is best known for her animal kits, as she offered a wide variety of cat and dog patterns. After nine years in business, she closed her doors - "It was so much work and with each year in business, I seemed to be designing less and less."
Stitchers are always fascinated by the amount of detail Lisa gets in her designs, using almost entirely full-stitches, and little or no backstitching!
In the past, Lisa had shared a booth with Jo and Bill Gatenby (of X's & Oh's) at various needlework shows. "I was always so impressed with their business savvy and how much fun they had with the customers." Which is why she chose X’s & Oh’s to represent her work, and we are pleased to add this talented designer to our X’s & Oh’s family!
